Mooring Chain Inclination System

  • Dual axis subsea inclinometers

  • Custom engineered mounting brackets

  • Intuitive control and display software

The Mooring Chain Inclination System uses precision inclinometers to measure the angle of elevation of mooring chains on a single point mooring (SPM) or similar mooring system. Custom mounting brackets each hold an OceanTILT inclinometer, clamp onto the mooring chains and allow easy installation and retrieval by divers. Alternatively, sensors may be clamped to the chain support assembly above the waterline.

A Surface Interface Box (SIB) distributes power and manages serial communications to the sensors, with the option of twin SIBs for added redundancy in larger systems. Control software monitors and displays the angles of elevation of all mooring chains radiating from a central point.
