C-Dye ECO is a biodegradable dye specially formulated for the tracing of leaks in a variety of subsea environments including pipelines, risers and subsea control systems. It produces a bright blue emission under appropriate excitation conditions and is the most environmentally acceptable offshore fluorescent leak tracing dye available in OSPAR countries such as the UK, Denmark and Norway.

Developed to comply with Substance In Solvent (SIS) regulations, ensuring that all components including the dye substance have the required biodegradation characteristics, it possesses excellent environmental credentials. C-Dye ECO is registered with CEFAS in the UK (OCNS Gold / OCNS E) with no substitutable components for UK Discharge, Yellow in Norwegian waters, and is also approved for use in Denmark.

The dye is typically dosed at a ratio between 100ppm and 200ppm depending on the application. Compatibility with the dosage medium and the appropriate concentration should be confirmed prior to use, and the dye should be thoroughly dispersed within the chosen medium.
